Book Two, my mother's opened. Images of chickens, chick, and eggs. My mother grew up in World War II. She and her mother came from the city and consistently moved deeper and deeper into the countryside, to get ahead of the bombs and troops marching in. The one time that she was happy was when she took care of chickens in a farm. They were like her pets.
