For each day of winter from December 22, 2001 to March 19, 2002 one sumi ink ice cube is centrally placed on a sheet of Asian paper. Based on the Taoist philosophy that each brushstroke cannot be repeated and is therefore individual because each time you paint, you and time would have changed.

MEDIUM AND SIZE: Sumi ink on Asian handmade paper. 12" x 18" [30 x 45 cm]. Eighty-eight individual melted paintings in the series.
