Vovyl (Earth Matter Evolving)

The exploration of a Taoist process through art making is to observe natural changes. Through the natural process of printmaking, each of the ten photo etchings go through four stages of change. Images evolve with use of aquatint (the elements of wind, fire, water are present) and decay with prolonged submersion to acid.
MEDIUM AND SIZE: Eight photoetchings per 7 1/4" x 63" [18.4 x 160 cm] sheet of mulberry paper.
Total of five sheets (forty photoetchings). Edition of two.
