Paper Horses or Joss Papers traditionally were either talismans or sacred papers to be burned to honor the deceased. What was represented in the paper was a message or literally the physical thing that will accompany the dead to the afterlife. In my version, I make portraits of conditions of this life. The formats are influenced by traditional papers, however the talismans and communication are for this life.

MEDIUM AND SIZE: Series of works on paper. Drawn, painted, and/or burned on Asian paper.
